01 / Glenrothes

Castlelaw

Our Castlelaw relationship centres on Glenrothes. WCC’s published account of a visit describes meeting the warehouse team and inspecting client-held casks—bringing the people and place behind storage into view. [4]

For your own cask, we explain the warehouse arrangements, the records and the practical next steps before you decide. The relevant company record is Castlelaw Bonded Warehouses (Glenrothes) Ltd. [2]

02 / Fife

Volpe & Castello

Volpe & Castello describes its warehouse locations in Fife, with dunnage, racked and palletised storage across its facilities. Its published services also include inventory management and single-cask bottling. [3]

We help you understand which location and services apply to the proposed cask. Storage, later bottling and any movement arrangements should be clear in your proposal—not left to assumption.

In plain English

What does “in bond” mean?

Alcohol can be held in approved premises or excise warehouses with duty suspended. Suspended does not mean cancelled: duty liability remains, and duty becomes payable when a duty point is reached. [5]

The warehouse arrangement is only one part of ownership. Your proposal should also explain who owns the identified cask, how that is recorded, included storage and insurance, and who can authorise later instructions.

Your cask, your plans

Keep the next step simple.

Start with the available records and a conversation. Visits, samples, regauges, transfers and bottling depend on the cask, the warehouse and the agreed arrangements. Any chargeable work needs a clear purpose, a quote and your approval.

Not every WCC cask is stored at the same warehouse. We identify the applicable warehouse and arrangements for the cask being discussed.

People, place and paperwork

Let’s talk about your cask.

Exploring your first cask or asking about one you already own? Tell us what you have in mind. No purchase is made through this website, and storage does not guarantee a future value or sale.
